GOAL
During the making of this official lyric video for Madison Beer’s new song, “Home To Another One,” the goal was to build out a series of kinetic typography that lived in a retro and space-like world. This collaboration with Madison Beer showcases her lyricism fused with visuals that capture the emotions of heartbreak and finding a new home.

Sia's team requested a fresh lyric video for her latest album Reasonable Woman, and with complete creative freedom, I decided to embrace a playful Polaroid and scrapbook aesthetic, complemented by a vibrant purple and pink color palette. These elements come together to evoke femininity, complementing the song’s powerful and empowering message.

This retro lyric video draws inspiration from the vibrant aesthetic of the 80s. To bring forth that sense of nostalgia, I incorporated a dynamic comic book style, chunky typography, playful patterns, and a bright color palette. The animation offers a tribute to the era, infusing each frame with a punchy flair.

I was brought on by art director and LA native, Amber Park to help animate a visualizer for her new NFT collection titled “I Like You You’re Weird (ILYYW).

From the creators: “ILYYW is a community-driven collectibles project featuring art by Amber Park and Mason Rothschild. Across the 10,000 Weirdos in the collection, no two are the same - much like humankind itself. Consider every Weirdo minted representative of that holder’s inner Weirdo, a cosmic embodiment of our one-of-a-kind oddities.”

GOAL
The driving force behind this project was to harmonize shape-shifting graphics with each song’s rhythmic pattern. The unique blend of uplifting sounds led to the inspiration of building a “soundscape” or landscape that evolved in color and form. I chose to use elements from nature and space to create organic shapes and lines.
